How to Prepare for Next Semester

Every semester:

  1. Complete and submit commitment form

The commitment form is available in April for the fall semester, November for the spring semester, and February for the summer session. By completing and submitting the course commitment form, you reserve a spot in the online nursing courses you want to take.

You will receive an automated message after submitting the form confirming that space has been reserved for you contingent on your advisor’s approval

  2. Register for classes at your home campus

Register during the specified enrollment appointment time period for your home campus.

You’ll receive a Course Confirmation Letter from BSN@Home with your selected course/s listed approximately three weeks before the start of the semester.

  3. Buy books

You can purchase your books on our website or from another bookseller.

  4. Look for welcome emails

Two weeks before the start of the semester, you’ll receive a welcome email from BSN@Home’s partner UW-Extension Continuing Education, Outreach and E-Learning (CEOEL).

One week before the start of the semester, you’ll receive an email from CEOEL with your login and password information for the Desire2Learn (D2L) course software for the core courses, Pathophysiology and Pharmacology.

If you are registered for a nursing elective course other than Pathophsiology and Pharmacology you will receive an email form the campus that teaches the course with your login and password information by the first day of the class

  5. Log in to D2L to preview the core nursing courses

The week before classes start, you’ll be able to log in to (CEOEL) D2L to preview the core courses, Pathophysiology, and Pharmacology. You’ll be able to log in to your nursing elective courses by the first day of class on the D2L site of the campus that teaches the course.

  6. Complete your coursework

Visit your home campus website during the semester for student resources and advisor support.
